SCANIA CELEBRATES 125 YEAR ANNIVERSARY WITH UNIQUE TEKNO COLLECTORSSET

To mark the 125th anniversary of Scania (1891-2016), Scania will release in cooperation with Tekno an exclusive set of in 1:50. These scale models are unreleased and represent a nice piece of history of the illustrious brand from Sweden. On several occasions, will be dealt this year for the anniversary.

Scania was founded in 1891 with a plant in Sweden Södertalje for production of railroad cars. The name was Vagnfabriksaktiebolaget I Södertalje abbreviated VABIS. In 1900 Maskinfabriksaktie - Bolaget Scania was founded in Malmö and soon there were cars and trucks, the first in 1902, developed and produced. Over the years, developments followed one another in quick succession and Scania is known as the King of the Road, thanks to the inimitable eight-cylinder engines.

In honor of the 125th anniversary in the Benelux developed an exclusive Tekno set. The set includes three special models that have become over the years milestones of Scania.

Scania-Vabis L56 4x2: In 1964 started the production in Zwolle and in 1965 the official opening took place. The first truck rolled off the band this Scania Vabis L56 4x2 in olive green color.
Scania 4-serie Topline 4x2: In 1996, the Scania 4 Series was introduced in characteristic light yellow color. The transition from the 3-series Streamline for this type was very large. The Topline was an entirely new and successful concept.
T-serie Scania: Scania Torpedo's many years ago. Along with the introduction of the P & R-serie the T-serie was unveiled in 2004 in typical copper color. This eventually became the last torpedo factory for the production stop of these models in 2005..
